Who you are

  • Proficiency with Google Suite but having a Google AdWords certification would be a bonus
  • Deep knowledge of the SEM industry and the paid search advertising model
  • Experience with keyword research tools and web analytics tools (Google Analytics), as well as how to use these tools in paid search campaigns
  • Agency experience preferred with managing multiple clients with monthly budgets ranging between $250,000-$500,000 per client
  • Additional qualifications include strong analytical, communication, and research skills
  • Understands the dependencies required for SEM growth and can collaborate with marketing stakeholders on demand generation
  • Has experience managing other paid digital ad platforms and is interested in expanding the scope to other channels since this role isn’t limited to just SEM
  • Has experience managing a high volume of PPC campaigns across multiple countries and will tailor campaign strategies based on local nuances
  • Learn the business. Understand services to build effective keyword/campaign strategies
  • Has the capacity to troubleshoot issues, adapt to changes, and find innovative solutions to challenges
  • Given the dynamic nature of digital marketing, staying updated with industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies is vital for success in this role

What the job involves

  • As an SEM Manager at Vanta, you will be working with the marketing team to develop effective strategies to drive more web traffic to the organization’s website, product landing pages, and lead-generating pages
  • The foundational account and campaign structure already exist and now we’re looking for a hands-on teammate to elevate our already high-functioning campaigns through more focused campaign management by continuing to drive optimizations, monitor trends and marketplace changes, and provide impact analyses so we can continue to build out best practices for this channel and proactively develop plans for creatives, landing pages and integrated campaigns
  • The SEM Manager role sits within the Paid Digital Channel team that reports to Growth Marketing
  • Paid Digital’s mission is to drive measurable and reportable business results from our efforts – attributable to each asset, campaign, or activity
  • Secondly, our goal is to find scalable and repeatable ways to drive the growth of our primary KPIs (i.e. mainly related to new business acquisition) from strategic testing
  • Overall, the Paid Digital team aims to drive measurable results by targeting the right audience at the right time with the right messaging to move them down the conversion funnel in tandem with the paid search efforts that drive brand discoverability and leads
  • Analyze global paid search campaigns and drive daily optimizations as needed across bids and keywords
  • Drive short, medium, and long-term workstreams to optimize ad copies, sitelinks, and landing page content for evergreen campaigns and product or campaign expansions
  • Proactively monitor the competitive landscape to continue refining expansion strategies
  • Work cross-functionally with other channels to understand what’s impacting paid search performance and what tactics can be leveraged to influence demand. Communicate any roadblocks in the performance of campaigns
  • You will plan, develop, and implement new paid search strategies to drive site traffic and new qualified leads with a focus on improving CPA and scaling conversion volume
  • Manage Google’s portfolio of Search, Display, Remarketing, and Video media and Bing
  • Communicate with stakeholders regularly to discuss performance, goals, and deliver results
  • Ensure accurate conversion tracking and attribution through data QA

The security auditing process is usually very time-consuming, taking hours to complete, and it is often difficult for start-ups to invest time into such a process. Yet, the benefits of security accreditation are enormous, mainly as many such businesses are working globally and need ways to demonstrate security compliance to one another. Vanta works specifically with start-ups to help them complete and pass security audits such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

The company is a compliance portal and security monitoring platform that businesses use to assess their risk levels. Vanta carries out a pre-audit of a company's digital security and highlights areas that need to be worked on before a full analysis of all threats is carried out. Other businesses such as Datadog or PagerDuty offer similar security monitoring services, but Vanta monitors its customers throughout the year, allowing any issues to be identified and addressed early on.

Vanta has found a valuable cybersecurity niche within the giant SaaS market. Companies such as Lattice, Clubhouse, and Calm are all customers, demonstrating a growing trend for companies to manage their cybersecurity proactively, which Vanta should be able to take advantage of to further grow and develop into the future.
