• You will be positioned as an Expert Contributor at the brink between Product, Commercial and Engineering. You’ll help deliver a modern web automotive platform, deliver against our company goals and increase our company value over time
• Lead the refactoring of complex systems and resolution of complex problems, making pragmatic trade-offs between perfection and technical debt to align with our priorities as a business
• Functionally lead the Typescript team with the launch of our new modern cloud-based scalable platform
• Ensuring existing systems continue to be maintained at a high standard and managing short to medium-term improvements where required
• Contribute towards delivering high quality code by improving coding standards and best practices, taking into account wider requirements such as performance, reliability, availability, scalability and security
• Proactively contribute to the wider engineering department, through knowledge sharing and architectural forums
• Enable the growth of the engineering department by supporting hiring, onboarding, and giving effective feedback
• Lead good agile team outcomes ensuring engineering decisions are made which factor in technical debt, systems design, stability/reliability, monitoring/observability and business needs
• Represent the team in design reviews and operational readiness exercises for new and existing services
• Dive deep into system and application performance and reliability issues; partner with software and systems engineers across the organisation
