Who you are

  • If you would describe yourself as an ‘ideas person’, are equally comfortable planning long-term strategy than you are creating ad-hoc content, and are up for the challenge of explaining complex financial concepts through bite-sized social posts, then you might be the perfect fit
  • Someone who can turn around content from ideation to production faster than you can say "have you seen Duolingo's TikTok account"
  • Confident user of all key social media platforms (LinkedIn through TikTok)
  • Knows how to gather and analyse data from these platforms to determine what works and what doesn’t
  • Up for the challenge of making engaging reels designed to get reach - and go viral!
  • Not afraid to interview people around the office and on the street!
  • Not afraid to push creative boundaries and get stuck in to team brainstorms
  • You are quick to respond to the latest trends
  • You are able to explain complex concepts in simple and digestible terms
  • A self-starter who is happy to independently take a piece of content from ideation to production

What the job involves

  • Have you figured out how to hack Instagram’s algorithm? Clinically TikTok obsessed? Enjoy experimenting with design and video in your spare time? If you live and breathe social media, and don’t mind being in front (and behind) the camera - keep reading
  • We are looking for a Social Content Creative who can make fintech content cool - or at least genuinely entertaining and genuinely educational. Finance is traditionally a complex subject, but we’re on a mission to make saving and investing easy and effortless - and we want the social media presence to prove it
  • Sitting in the in-house Brand team, you will work closely with other creatives and content makers, as well as getting exposure to a fast paced marketing team deploying your work across our social channels. You’ll also get to know a wide mix of people across the business
  • The days will be fast paced and varied with a mix of filming out and about on location or in our office
  • This role will play a huge part in an exciting creative team at the UK’s fastest-growing fintechs, helping us shape our brand and create the best content in fintech
  • Should you be up for the job, you'll be working for one of the fastest-growing fintechs, helping us shape our social channels and create the best content in fintech. It’s a pretty big deal
  • Take ownership of Chip’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Community Forum and private Facebook groups)
  • Pitch, develop and test innovative social content ideas
  • Produce a variety of creative assets - from static posts and tweets, to videos and written copy
  • Analyse the performance of social channels to understand what’s working and what isn’t, and adjust the content strategy accordingly
  • Work with team members from other departments, to ensure our content fits within the broader Marketing strategy

Chip provides a free app which aims to make saving as easy as spending. The AI-driven system calculates how much a user could save, gives the option to decline it, and then automatically transfers the amount to user’s Chip account.

Chip's users have saved over £800 million for its users to date, and the public clearly loves the product, as 9,000+ people invested in the company's latest crowdfunding round (one of the most participated-in crowdfunds to date).

Chip has made strong hires, including senior team members from Purplebricks, Deposit Solutions. Barclays, Funding Circle, and Monzo, which has given the company the firepower to scale the business.

The challenge for Chip will be staying relevant and differentiated when there are lots of other companies fighting for consumer's savings and investment accounts. For this reason, the company's investment product is forever adding something innovative to keep its users building wealth with Chip.
