  • Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) is looking for Services Procurement Program Managers with proven procurement and project management experience

  • The Services Procurement team supports nationwide Amazon Grocery Logistics services programs for Stores, Fulfillment Centers, and Distribution Centers
  • This role requires the management of new and existing procurement programs, scoping and creating project plans, coordinating and driving execution, and clear communication to senior management
  • Cross-team coordination, program management and procurement skills are essential
  • Manage new and existing procurement programs, successfully delivering results across multiple Amazon organizations
  • Influence design and development of strategic procurement programs
  • Recognize and resolve issues and provide hands-on support to ensure procurement programs operate successfully across all locations
  • Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, escalating as appropriate
  • Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions
  • Work directly with external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions
  • Maintain service levels across multiple vendors/providers ensuring services
  • Own and execute large-scale process improvement opportunities within new business launches and existing processes and controls, including defining scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders. Utilize standard analytical tools to analyze business metrics for optimization and derive actionable recommendations to meet business and procurement objectives
  • Manage or coordinate tactical procurement services and daily operations including Purchase Orders and Invoice management
  • Drive supplier relationship development by holding regular business reviews to assess performance and areas of opportunity
  • Create and manage program communication, accelerating progress by driving clear and timely decisions, removing obstacles and escalating as appropriate
  • Work directly with external providers, customers, and partner teams to create and deliver scalable solutions
  • Execute and own large-scale process improvement opportunities within new business launches existing processes and controls, including defining scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Utilize numerous standard analytical tools to analyze business metrics for optimization and derive actionable recommendations to meet business and procurement objectives
  • Ensure service levels across multiple vendors/providers ensuring quality services. This includes management of day-to-day program escalations such as vendor concerns, vendor performance support, scoping changes, and many other days to day field team needs across the services portfolios
  • Develop and manage tactical procurement services and daily operations including Purchase Orders and Invoice management
  • A day in the life:
  • Every day is different as a Program Manager. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively on projects, which may be at different stages of the project lifecycle, from development to delivery. You might spend your morning gathering data and feedback to assess a programme pilot, then spend your afternoon discussing a resourcing plan for another project
  • You will collaborate with other teams, track project progress, and share updates with key stakeholders. Amazon is a data-driven business, so no matter which project you are implementing, part of your role will involve gathering insights to make decisions
  • You’ll trial different ideas, analysis data to identify potential challenges, and present your findings to senior teams
