Who you are

  • 7+ years in digital product management, consulting, or strategy—preferably in Pharma or enterprise environments
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional discovery, workshops, and innovation strategy projects
  • Familiarity with agile delivery, platform product models, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro
  • Ability to synthesize research, stakeholder inputs, and operational data into clear, compelling outputs
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, especially for senior and executive audiences
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and partially remote project environment

Desirable

  • Prior experience working with or for a Pharma company
  • Knowledge of web platform strategy, modular content, personalization, or omnichannel experience design
  • Exposure to the Gartner Maturity Model or similar benchmarking frameworks

What the job involves

  • Appnovation is looking for a Senior Digital Product Manager to support a strategic engagement for a key pharma client focused on uncovering innovation opportunities and scaling the operational model for its enterprise web platform
  • The ideal candidate will be experienced in stakeholder discovery, digital platform strategy, and workshop design/facilitation
  • You’ll play a hands-on role in conducting current state analysis, preparing and supporting high-impact workshops, and delivering strategic recommendations
  • This role is ideal for a seasoned product leader or consultant with a passion for structure, collaboration, and digital innovation—particularly in regulated, complex environments like Pharma
  • Phase 1 – Discovery, Planning, and Workshop Execution
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand objectives, access tools, and review foundational materials
  • Identify key decision-makers and define project roles and responsibilities
  • Support communication plan and meeting cadence setup
  • Review and synthesize platform assets (e.g., playbooks, analytics, roadmaps, charters, surveys, Jira boards)
  • Evaluate current team operations, key metrics, and OKR consistency
  • Identify opportunities and gaps for further exploration
  • Conduct internal discovery with primary stakeholders to align on workshop goals
  • Lead market research into best-in-class Pharma and non-Pharma web experiences
  • Co-develop ideation stimuli, exercises, and win themes for the in-person workshops
  • Prepare executive-level summaries and core team alignment sessions
  • In-Person Workshops (May 13–15) - South Carolina, USA
  • Co-facilitate a 3-day strategic workshop focused on platform innovation and operational alignment with the following goals:
  • Inspire and ideate on next-generation platform features
  • Prioritize roadmap ideas, roles, and operational improvements
  • Finalize recap and strategic recommendations
  • Phase 2 – Synthesis, Roadmapping, and Operational Planning
  • Support creation of executive summary and recommendation decks
  • Summarize platform values and delivery readiness for key trends like AI, personalization, omnichannel
  • Provide external benchmarking and Novartis maturity comparison
  • Document and align on platform feature inventory and roadmap directions
  • Highlight platform strengths, opportunity areas, and high-priority innovations
  • Define next-phase planning materials including a branded exec overview deck
  • Propose a plan for operationalization, training, and platform enhancement communications
