Who you are

What the job involves

  • Lightspeed is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant
  • Reporting to the Financial Controller in NoAm (North America)
  • The working environment is dynamic, and daily tasks include a variety of accounting duties
  • If you’re interested in the opportunity to expand your skills by working with the Accounting team of a growing technology company, this is the position for you!
  • Responsible for the month-end close procedures for Lightspeeds largest subsidiary
  • Assist and perform a wide variety of accounting tasks, from the Balance Sheet to the PnL. Full review of all areas and ensuring accurate books at all times
  • Perform the payroll-related accounting entries and variance analysis for over 1,000 employees
  • Responsible for SOX controls related tasks such as Interest, Bank Reconciliations and Cash Flow Hedging
  • Working very closely with FP&A team to align budget and actuals along with supporting their needs around understanding the business unit/verticals impacts that are key drivers
  • Have the initiative to partake in the improvement of internal processes and being an active participant in automation projects
  • Participate in the internal monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process, external quarterly reviews, and annual financials statement audit
