Who you are

  • An agency or mobile dynamo. You have several years of experience working in mobile advertising, for ad tech platform companies, or on media planning teams at large agencies. And you understand and are experienced in the challenges their teams face and can leverage your experience to help find better solutions
  • An ad tech guru. You’ve spent at least 5+ years in ad tech and know the ecosystem well. You are a quick study and have the ability to understand the technical attributes and value proposition that InMobi represents for our clients
  • A high-energy and passionate self-starter. You have strong analytical and storytelling skills and are extremely comfortable in a fast-paced, risk-taking, and often ambiguous environment
  • A proactive problem solver. Proven ability to solve customer pain points, challenges, and technical issues, while proactively creating solutions through cross-functional collaboration

What the job involves

  • InMobi is seeking a passionate, driven, and client-focused Sales Manager who is eager to leverage their agency and brand-direct experience, as well as their ability to educate, influence, negotiate, and close business for a leading mobile ad tech platform company
  • You’ll join an experienced, passionate, fun, and high performing sales team that will support you as you learn and grow into the InMobi sales and business ecosystem
  • As a Sales Manager in New York, you will be responsible for developing and driving sales for an enterprise portfolio of key agencies, brands and direct clients across our customer base by creating and selling effective mobile advertising and platform solutions
  • You will also participate in and actively shape InMobi North America sales strategy, go-to-market, and execution plans
  • Identify, close and develop relationships with targeted, strategic advertisers and agencies/ intermediaries that help ensure long term success for InMobi. Pre-existing relationships with independent agencies in the East (specifically in NY) is a plus
  • Develop and grow repeat business from existing advertising customers, partners, and agencies
  • Execute private programmatic buying partnerships including PMPs
  • Execute data partnerships with direct clients and agencies to enable media activation of InMobi Exchange as well as InMobi Audiences
  • Execute app performance partnerships including app download and app re-marketing campaigns
  • Upsell media clients to InMobi platform offerings including InMobi app performance DSP and InMobi insights platform
  • Communicate effectively internally to align resources (product, engineering, business operations, etc.) to help meet marketers needs

Our take

Mobile advertising is an incredibly important element of marketing campaigns for modern businesses, but success is limited to the quality of engagements that campaigns have on audiences. Engagement can be optimised by targeting ads to relevant audiences through cookies and other data sets, but without the right analytic tools to lead to actionable insights, this data remains useless.

InMobi provides a data-driven mobile marketing platform, offering a toolkit called InMobi Pulse that provides insights into mobile marketing based on consumer feedback, product testing, and other proprietary data. The company also provides InMobi Exchange, a platform for reaching mobile-first audiences and an enterprise-grade platform for purchasing DSP services.

Whilst it is undeniable that InMobi faces competition from other mobile-focused marketing platforms, the company stands out with the sheer range of tools it offers and its focus on markets such as India and Southeast Asia which are difficult for North American and European firms to enter. InMobi has plans to further expand globally, however, and is bringing its Glance lock screen advertising product to the US and Latin America in the near future.
