Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud technologies, strong problem solving skills and a curiosity for staying up to date with new and emerging technologies
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure deployment experience on AWS, Azure, GCP or any other cloud
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure including Kubernetes, AWS, or Infrastructure as Code
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Participate in developing a strong culture of best practices within the team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges
Desirable
- Experience building Machine Learning solutions in the cloud
- Prior exposure building and operating a large-scale cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience developing infrastructure or applications with Go
- Experience in building and maintaining services on air-gapped environments
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, EFK stack, etc
What the job involves
- As a Software engineer, Cloud Infrastructure at Twelve Labs, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure platform
- As the platform matures, this will be the foundation impacting all engineering team members at Twelve Labs
- You will work closely with our cross functional teams to ensure scalability, reliability and security of our cloud based systems
- This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our AI-driven products
- Take part in the design, implementation and management of Twelve Labs cloud and on-premise solutions
- Leading the build of single tenant architecture to accommodate enterprise customers on different cloud vendors
- Architect Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using technologies such as Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible with mature CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to existing architecture and optimization of a highly utilized cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security and efficiency
- Champion best practices in security and compliance, ensuring our infrastructure is resilient against threats and aligned with industry standards, safeguarding customer data and trust in our platform
- Ensure documentation for installation and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cloud service providers to ensure the infrastructure is designed for optimal performance
Our take
Developing an algorithm that can understand text or images is (relatively) straightforward. However, the challenge escalates when it comes to understanding video, where these modes merge with audio, and context becomes much harder to grasp.
Twelve Labs has developed a machine learning solution that tackles this challenge by making the inner content of videos both indexable for developers and highly searchable for users. This technology could prove immensely valuable, with use cases extending far beyond simple searchability for end users. It could be employed for more accurate monitoring of community guidelines on social media, enterprise knowledge searches, and a deeper understanding of the value of video content.
With recent funding under its belt, Twelve Labs is set for rapid growth. The investment will drive R&D, nearly double its workforce, and advance its video understanding technology. As it expands, Twelve Labs is well-positioned to lead the future of multimodal AI and revolutionize how organizations extract values from video content.
