  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams

What the job involves

  • As a Content Writer at ZayZoon, you will be instrumental in crafting compelling and engaging content tailored to HR and people ops professionals within small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs)
  • You will be responsible for producing a wide range of content, including blogs, white papers, reports, guides, web copy, social media copy, ad copy, and scripts
  • You will play a pivotal role educating the marketplace about Earned Wage Access and translating our mission into a story that resonates on an emotional level with our audience
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality, original content across various formats and channels, including blogs, white papers, reports, guides, web copy, social media copy, ad copy, scripts, and event collateral
  • Audience Engagement: Develop content strategies to engage and educate our HR and people ops audience within SMBs, addressing their pain points, challenges, and aspirations
  • Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate the value proposition of Earned Wage Access and resonate with our target audience on an emotional level
  • SEO: Ensure all content is optimized for search engines, incorporating relevant keywords, meta tags, and other SEO best practices to improve visibility and rankings
  • Research: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and latest developments in HR, payroll, and fintech industries, and incorporate insights into content creation
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product, to align content strategies with business objectives and support integrated marketing campaigns

ZayZoon addresses the financial strain faced by workers due to unforeseen expenses in the gap between paychecks. By providing earned wage access (EWA), the fintech startup offers employees the option to access a portion of their pay ahead of schedule, aiming to curb reliance on high-interest loans.

ZayZoon's platform works at no cost to the employer, but charges workers a $5 fee for a withdrawal. This does raise concerns over whether this could exacerbate financial challenges for low-income workers, although compared to the interest on payday loans this is still an extremely attractive option.

With recent funding, the company plans to accelerate growth initiatives and navigate increasing regulatory scrutiny. Despite concerns about these regulatory challenges, ZayZoon remains optimistic and dedicated to empowering workers and assisting businesses in managing financial obstacles.
