Who you are

  • 2-5 Years of FP&A or Finance experience with SaaS and/or high growth companies; preference given to experience forecasting cloud hosting and infrastructure costs
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong understanding of usage and subscription-based business models and key metrics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and experience with financial planning software
  • Effective communication skills to present complex financial information clearly and succinctly to non-financial executive stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven track record of driving insights from data to influence strategic decisions
  • Planful and NetSuite experience preferred

What the job involves

  • Klaviyo is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst or Senior Financial Analyst (Hub Based) to join the FP&A team, specifically focused on analyzing, forecasting, and consolidating cost of goods sold
  • This role plays a critical part in driving informed decision-making by providing accurate and actionable insights related to COGS performance
  • This role will partner across departments to provide an accurate cost forecast
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate that wants to be part of a dynamic FP&A organization that is scaling for the future
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, strategic planning, business partnering and a deep understanding of software business models. This candidate would have experience with cost forecasting for
  • This candidate will have a strong track record of providing structure, consolidation, and analysis of financial data
  • Conduct thorough analysis of cloud hosting and email sending costs, including trend analysis, variance explanations, and performance metrics to monitor overall business performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive accurate COGS forecasts that align with overall company guardrails
  • Build standardized reporting for executive leadership team to provide visibility, drive ownership, and proactively identify risks and opportunities
  • Own consolidation of COGS forecasting, reporting, and analysis
  • Serve as a strong business partner to ensure future investments decisions are made with an ROI based framework
  • Continuously refine and improve FP&A processes related to analysis, forecasting, and reporting

Klaviyo is a fast-growing company mainly due to its business model - the firm offers a concrete ROI for Klaviyo’s clients if the software persuades customers to make purchases by treating different types of customers differently. An IPO in 2023 has led to Klaviyo's release of Klaviyo AI, which empowers businesses to unlock revenue-driving opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences across channels. Still in its early days of public listing, it will be interesting to see how Klaviyo fares in the years to come.
