Role
Who you are
- An Engineer with 10+ years of experience (Infrastructure, Networking)
- 7+ years working with cloud-native applications in AWS
- 5+ years of writing Infrastructure As Code
- 4+ years of configuring and Maintaining Linux Systems with Scripting/Automation
- 3+ years Scripting Languages
- An Engineer who enjoys partnering with Engineers across the stack to build, deploy, and maintain highly performant systems
- An Engineer who prefers to work collaboratively, whether it's learning from or mentoring others
Desirable
- Experience building and managing PaaS (Platform as a Service) systems for internal customers
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking and/or Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) Certifications
- Experience with Windows Servers, ASP.NET Deployments (WebDeploy)
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure & GCP
- Experience with Software Development, any tech stack
What the job involves
- As a Staff Engineer on our growing DevOps team, you will be a technical leader, evolving and managing our AWS-based cloud infrastructure, focusing on our internal platform and control plane
- Your expertise will deliver enhancements to our system's reliability, scalability, security, and the overall success of our cloud-based solution development
- Your work will help shape our future cloud strategy through your collaboration with our internal customers, our fellow Engineers
- Deliver Systems: Engage actively in coding, code reviews, and technical discussions, ensuring high-quality output
- Architect Systems: Design and implement a robust cloud network infrastructure across a distributed system architecture
- Improve Configuration: Continuously enhance system security, focusing on meeting internal customer needs using the best practices for designing scalable network infrastructure
- Provide Technical Mentorship: Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of technical & operational excellence, as well as continuous learning
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business and non-functional requirements into robust technical solutions
