Role
Who you are
- You will have a background in Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and Git Administration and will help automate and improve our development and deployment processes
- If you are passionate about ensuring the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure while promoting a culture of collaboration and progress, we want to hear from you
- 8+ years of Experience: As a DevOps/ML Ops expert in areas such as Azure or AWS deployment, monitoring, and operations. A Must
- 5-7 years experience in scripting languages: Such as Python, Bash, or similar, for automation tasks
- Source Control Solutions: Experience with source control solutions like Git
- Infrastructure as Code (IaaC): Experience building infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Experience with CI/CD best practices
- Security Knowledge: Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards
- Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Technical Documentation: Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and with peers, partners, and customers
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field
Desirable
- Azure Certifications: Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Associate are desirable
- Other Cloud Certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus
- Spinnaker Experience: Experience working with Spinnaker for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- GitHub Enterprise Server Administration: Experience with GitHub Enterprise Server Administration
- Git and/or Co-Pilot Administration: Experience with Git and/or Co-Pilot Administration in the GitHub ecosystem using Rust, Bash, Ruby, or REST APIs
What the job involves
- The Platform Services and Emerging Technologies organization seeks a Principal Cloud Software Engineer to help build and support our entire on-prem and cloud platform infrastructure
- You will report to an Engineer Manager in Ireland
- Build and support our entire on-prem and cloud platform Azure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot and fix issues within the platform
- Automate processes to improve efficiency and reduce the potential for human error
- Document and create runbooks for our processes and systems to reduce toil and MTTR when problems do occur
- Collaborate with other platform teams, system architects and our internal customers to ensure the platform meets the needs of the organization and its users
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends that could be used to improve the platform's reliability, performance and security
