  • Working within large delivery programs
  • Facilitating discovery analysis workshops with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Experience of delivering change using Agile methodologies

What the job involves

  • Business Data Analysts are responsible for understanding business requirements and identifying the data requirements needed to deliver a business outcome
  • They work with Business stakeholders and members of technology delivery teams to contribute to the delivery of software that provides value within the Asset Management business
  • They utilise a range of analysis techniques to suit different situations and help to guide and mentor less experienced members of the team
  • Working with business stakeholders, project teams and software delivery teams to establish data requirements as part of technology solutions that provide a business outcome
  • Supporting the development of Asset Management data capabilities by contributing to the design and delivery of data sets that are approached with a “capability first” mindset and align with Data Governance policy
  • Assessing potential data risks, opportunities and business impact
  • Applying overall data strategy in solution design
  • Building strong working relationships with business functions to ensure timely delivery of data that meet the requirements
  • Working with stakeholders and technology delivery teams to strengthen data management and quality processes across data collection, transformation and reporting
  • Supporting the development of data related procedures and guidelines to be at the forefront of best practice
  • Being part of a team with a strong sense of product ownership and commitment to build scalable, extensible and robust software
  • Delivering outcomes that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them
  • Making suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations
  • Developing complete solutions to the end consumer by participating in a cross functional team comprising of requirements gathering, data modelling, data integration, software engineering, testing and release oversight
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Business, Investment Data Services and other teams across Investments Technology & Change
  • Guiding and mentoring less experienced Analysts within the team
