Who you are

  • We are not obsessed about years of experience, we look for something deeper
  • The main thing is business acumen (especially experience at a scrappy startup), coupled with technical aptitude (especially automation). You probably know how to read a P&L statement, and have programmed “hello world”
  • You get that this role is all about creating tangible business value, not getting lost in technical details. In short, you are someone who translates business requirements into results
  • People are always sending things your way because you just seem to 'get it'. You get stuff to work, often better than people were picturing. We’re not looking for a tickbox of years of experience
  • Self-starter: you enjoy learning, you’re curious, you like a fast pace, you jump onto business and technical calls, quickly understand people’s objectives, then figure out an efficient technical implementation, your comfort zone is constantly expanding
  • Technical knowledge meets business acumen : you know your way around APIs, webhooks, data migrations, customer objectives, and deadlines (or you’re a fast learner technically, with strong commercial/consulting credentials)
  • Problem solver: you're structured, you like logical challenges, and also know when you're heading down a rabbit hole (it happens!)

What the job involves

  • We are one of the most versatile teams at Planhat
  • We work with clients across different industries, and team up with our colleagues across sales, CS, and product. We work alongside our customers at every stage of the client lifecycle:
  • Work with sales to build a POC for the C-suite at an EduTech company, teasing the most insightful metrics dashboard they've ever seen
  • Help a FinTech startup struggling with data across many systems sync their data seamlessly into Planhat
  • Take a PropTech company's key processes from spreadsheets and forms into Planhat, not only designing automation steps, but also flagging churn risk and identifying growth opportunities
  • We are an eclectic bunch. Our backgrounds include pre-sales, customer support, customer success, consultancy, and project management
  • Some of us had a technical background before joining, and experience with tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, Zapier, or Data Warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery); but many of us transitioned from commercial roles; we wanted to get deeper into products, and are self-taught technically

Our take

According to Planhat, even though acquiring customers is essential for the initial growth of a company, long-term sustainable growth comes from maximising the lifetime value of existing customers. The Sweden-based but globally remote startup provides a modern customer platform that helps clients analyse insights regarding their target audience, manage workflow and drive customer experience.

Planhat distinguishes itself from other customer success software like Salesforce and Totango through its rapid deployment and easy adoption. The platform provides a wide range of solutions, from customizable customer health score to management reporting and CSM team performance. It's been taken up by thousands of teams globally and its corporate customers include the likes of Consensys, Alation and Adenza.

Initially a bootstrapped company, Planhat had already built a significant business by the time it closed its first investment round in 2022, a Series A. This funding is being used to support the company's growth by scaling its commercial teams, accelerating its R&D and further developing the product.
