What the job involves
- Within IOG's operational framework, the Operations team plays a crucial role in ensuring the harmonious synchronization of strategy and implementation, as well as promoting data-informed decision-making across various facets including people, processes, and technology
- In the capacity of a Program Manager at IOG, you will be entrusted with overseeing the successful execution of a wide array of intricate projects spanning the entirety of our organization and report directly into the VP of Operations
- Your proficiency in project management will be paramount, as you'll be expected to guide multifaceted, cross-functional project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Develop full scale project plans
- Assemble and coordinate project staff
- Manage project budget
- Assist/Lead cross functional team members to plan and schedule project timelines and resourcing
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
- Define, implement and track quality assurance across the project
- Working closely with key project stakeholders and coordinate cross functional activity within IOG to ensure projects are delivered according to defined scope and on time
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
- Collate and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- This is a very varied role requiring significant amount of hands on report collation and chasing down issues and actions across all levels in the organization
- Schedule, Chair and minute all weekly operational and stakeholder meetings
- Manage the RAID Log (Risks, Actions, Issues and Dependencies (we use Decisions here), update with all project actions coordinate with individuals and teams on status of all items
- As leaders, it is our responsibility to motivate, develop and progress our fellow team members
- There is a need to communicate openly with all members of your team, address any issues head-on, and not shy away from difficult conversations
- Empowering your team to provide the best results by organizing clear processes and coordinating team efforts should be your top priority
