What the job involves

  • As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping impactful ad experiences between our advertising partners and users, working across multiple platforms, devices and teams.
  • You are knowledgeable about sports and interested in driving outcomes at the intersection of creative and business value.
  • The role demands problem-solving, thoughtful execution, and the ambition to take projects from start to finish in a young team.
  • You must be energized by the idea of achieving our ambitious goals with your teammates in product, engineering, and marketing.
  • You're a critical thinker with an innovative approach to making products simple enough for anyone to understand and use
  • Be the design lead owning our holistic digital ad experience end-to-end
  • Partner with cross-functional peers to influence the product through a user-centered approach
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, product management, marketing) and external ad partners to drive progress, define standards, and advocate for exceptional customer experiences
  • Formulate comprehensive design guidelines for ad products, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Work iteratively to define problems and quickly find solutions
  • Speak with customers frequently, collect insights, test assumptions, and translate research takeaways into meaningful outcomes
  • Craft intuitive design flows, sketches, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for mobile and web
  • Help evolve and grow the design practice at GameChanger. Contribute to our design system, be vocal in design critiques, share inspirational resources, and aid in brainstorms
  • Question the status quo and advocate for change

Our take

The competitive nature of sports has always been driven by scorekeeping, and nowadays results are often consumed online. However, for smaller teams it can be difficult to provide this information digitally, as they do not have dedicated web development staff.

GameChanger provides a scorekeeping and statistics platform for sports teams to engage with their fans, that allows viewers to track the progress of a game in real-time similar to with professional sports. The company also embeds a live-streaming service into the platform to facilitate remote viewing, helping to increase audience engagement.

Whilst some sports teams already stream events on platforms such as Twitch and Youtube, most do not have the technical resources to achieve this. GameChanger has recognized this gap in the market, providing a simple yet unified platform for sports scoreboards and streaming, providing a fair opportunity for any team to maximize their community engagement.
