Role
Who you are
- This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building engaging web applications in a dynamic, collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field with 8+ years of industry experience
- Ability to problem solve from first principles and maintain focus on overarching objectives
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Experience building AI powered products
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Experience using assertion frameworks and tools to automate regression tests (e.g. Playwright, CodeceptJS, Mocha, Cypress, Jest)
- Experience with advanced software development in large-scale, highly available, distributed systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; able to explain complex technical topics to both internal and external stakeholders with ease and in remote/distributed environments
Desirable
- Familiar with how state of the art conversational chat based products are built
- Experience with Next.js and Vercel
- Experience building backend REST APIs
- A good eye for design and good product taste
- Good jokes, or maybe better, bad jokes
What the job involves
- We are looking for a front-end focused Staff Software Engineer to collaborate on a high-performance team of software developers as we build the Cribl Copilot user experience
- You will play a central role in designing and developing delightful user interfaces and visualizations by integrating cutting-edge AI technologies with the Cribl Product suite to help solve real customer problems
Our take
In a bid to simplify big data analytics, Cribl offers a data observability pipeline which allows users to reduce low value data, improve routing and gain more data context on one interface.
As companies now collect more and more data from frequently scattered sources, its useability and reliability comes into question. By offering an observability service, Cribl allows users to maintain the health of their data systems by monitoring, tracking and troubleshooting issues.
Cribl's main challenge will be competing with the likes of Observe and Edge Delta. However, Cribl has raised impressive funds that should accelerate its transition from a limited tool vendor to a fully-fledged observability suite. The company also boasts surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue, having grown this from $1 million in less than four years.
