Who you are

  • We're looking for a creative and experienced Lead Designer who is not only passionate about gaming but also to solve complex design problems, and collaborate within a team environment
  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing your work on web platforms, apps, or related digital products. Complete UX understanding: problem discovery, solution generation, concept creation, wireframing, testing, synthesis, iteration, prototyping, competitive analysis, customer journey mapping, applying design systems and producing deliverables for development
  • Understanding of enterprise content management systems, design systems, consumer-facing products, and multi-destination publishing platforms (create once, publish everywhere)
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture
  • Expert knowledge of design and prototyping tools like Figma or others
  • General awareness of web and mobile technology (i.e., JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
  • Collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams
  • Experience with design systems, demonstrating the ability to create design patterns and guidelines
  • Passion for gaming and a interest in exploring innovative design approaches within the gaming industry
  • Experience in Multi Platform Interface Design such as: Gaming consoles, Web ecosystems, VR & AR and Native IOS and Android apps
  • Can set clear assignments and actionable feedback for the design team
  • Can sell the design vision both internally and externally
  • You value tackling complex design challenges, analyzing user pain points, and crafting effective solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints

What the job involves

  • As the Lead Product Designer at EA reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Design, you will help shape the future of our Digital Experiences ecosystem
  • You will lead the design strategy for digital experiences on the whole
  • You will build the design vision and ensure high quality in all discovery, user interactions and design systems within the project
  • You will generate solid design in the form of a structured framework and systems and also ensure that the vision is clear and inspirational to the team
  • This is a major opportunity to contribute creatively on many experiences across EA
  • You will design user-centric experiences for our new web platform and other digital initiatives

  • Generate high quality and inspirational design across the player experience to a level actionable by development staff
  • Generate and guide design for our web platform, in-game experiences and innovation projects
  • Provide mentorship and training to the Design Team so that they may fulfill their roles to a high standard
  • Provide regular, detailed and actionable feedback and guidance to the development team
  • Support, demand and drive the iterative process to ensure the highest quality designs
  • Lead the design team through development of a product by providing clarity on overall design system structure & direction
  • Work with the Manager of Product Design and our Engineering Leads
