  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities

What the job involves

  • As an Associate Director of Media Relations, you will be responsible for driving the media relations function within the Oscar Communications organization. You will lead efforts to enhance Oscar’s brand equity and reputation and engage critical stakeholders through strategic communications initiatives
  • You will report to the Senior Director, Communications
  • Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies that align with Oscar’s strategic goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and stakeholders to secure steady drumbeat of positive media coverage
  • Implement a thought leadership program that includes events, awards / rankings, and contributed content
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, public relations, investor relations, government affairs, and executive leadership, to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment of media relations efforts
  • Evaluate the efficacy of media campaigns by tracking key metrics and KPIs; provide regular reporting and insights to senior management
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
