To deliver equitable, legal, and compliant employment to Web 3.0 contributors and organizations, and facilitate the continued, sustainable growth of the ecosystem.
Theo Margolius
COO of Otta
As Web 3.0 becomes more common, there is a need for those operating in the space to incorporate better legal and compliance practices into their operations. In particular, Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) require the tools to deliver equitable, legal, and compliant employment. Toku provides employment services for contributors, organizations, and regulators to bridge the gap between regulatory structures and their work in Web 3.0, all towards securing the future of the ecosystem.
Compliance is one of the largest obstacles to the wider adoption of Web 3.0 – which Toku, founded in 2020, is working to overcome. The company provides the infrastructure to hire and employ contributors in over 150 jurisdictions, as well as delivering a compliant token-only payroll solution which includes tax calculation. On top of this, Toku has the capacity to supply benefits such as health insurance and paid leave to Web 3.0 employees, making it a comprehensive solution for employment in the space.
Toku states ambitions to “unlock the ecosystem to the next hundred million contributors”, and is working on growing its team to accelerate development. The company has secured good levels of investment to this end, as well as generating positive interest in the space.
