Who you are

  • Native-level fluency in French and professional fluency in English (written and spoken)

  • Based in or willing to work from our Berlin office (hybrid model available)

What the job involves

  • As a Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on the Southern European market, you will be on the front lines of our sales efforts, engaging prospective customers in France and helping to expand Applause’s footprint in the region
  • This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships with senior decision-makers at some of the world’s leading digital brands while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Generate outbound qualified opportunities for the sales team through proactive prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other possible channels
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly goals for meetings booked and opportunities generated
  • Understand and diagnose a prospect’s business challenges, positioning Applause’s value proposition with clarity and relevance
  • Research target accounts and industries to identify key stakeholders and develop account-based prospecting plans
  • Proactively manage and overcome prospect objections by clearly articulating Applause’s value, differentiators, and relevance to the customer’s challenges
  • Respond to inbound interest and qualify leads before routing them to the appropriate Account Executive
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support local demand generation campaigns and event follow-up
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and activity logs in Salesforce and other sales tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft, Lusha)

As a bug-free product launch has increasingly become the expectation among organisations and users, global demand for testing services has steadily risen. Applause competes for a piece of this market against companies such as Smartbear. However, its "in the wild" testing service is structured to scale rapidly compared to competitors, and it now has an unmatched 300,000 testers available on-demand around the globe.

Applause counts thousands of companies as its customers, including Google, Nike and Slack, to name just a few. It will move to consolidate its market lead by seeking to reach new customers, develop its platform, and build additional partnerships with companies that can help it test at larger and larger scales.
