Our take

Genius Sports is a sports data and technology provider that acquires precise data about worldwide sports events. It then delivers data in the form of video streaming and integrity services to the sports, betting, and media ecosystem in order to empower them to create unique fan experiences.

The company differentiates itself through the fact that it has exclusive rights to access the official data of its over 240,000 covered events, being the official provider of critical data about these events. Since launching they have become the trusted partner of organisations such as the NFL, NBA, FIFA, EPL and NASCAR.

Genius Sports operates in a competitive field, with the likes of Sportradar and Stats Perform. However, the company's range of strategic acquisitions, partnerships, dMY Technology Group merger, and its impressive NYSE valuation have further increased its stake in this competitive industry.
