Role

Who you are

  • Experience: You have 8y+ experience in People topics (including talent acquisition), you have managed a team, ideally in a fast growing environment
  • Educational background: Master’s degree from a Business school
  • Languages**:** You are fluent in French and English (as our team is international), both written and spoken
  • Communication: You have strong written and verbal communication skills, and you are able to explain something complex with simple words
  • Interpersonal skills: You have great interpersonal skills and are always eager to build new relationships and feed them with regular and qualitative contacts
  • Mindset: You are passionate about People topics and dedicated to helping teams grow and have an entrepreneurial mindset: you like challenges and getting hands-on
  • Curious: Business-oriented and curious, you are able to understand the missions of each internal team and establish yourself a credible partner

What the job involves

  • In a context of hyper growth, we are looking for a Head of People to manage our HR team, hire the best talents, help Pelicans express their full potential and reinforce Pelico’s culture
  • Collaborate with Marketing to enhance employer branding initiatives
  • Develop partnerships with schools and communities to attract top talent
  • Implement effective hunting strategies to identify and recruit the best talents
  • Streamline interview processes and ensure we offer an outstanding candidate experience
  • Challenge and improve the onboarding processes
  • Implement learning and development initiatives and resources for all our talents
  • Own the performance review process to drive employee growth
  • Work closely with managers to help them create a positive dynamic in their teams
  • Foster employees’ well-being through surveys and initiatives
  • Manage the compensation program including salary structures, incentives and benefits
  • Handle people legal topics, including compliance and working contracts
  • Oversee the payroll processes
  • Manage relationship with CSE
  • Continuously challenge and reinforce the company culture to foster the best possible work environment for our team
  • Organize offsites and company events
  • You will manage a team of 5 people in the HR team and report to the VP of Operations

Our take

Due to a volatile supply chain landscape, fluctuating demands and deepening product complexity, factory operations are becoming increasingly difficult to run smoothly and efficiently, which in turn affects their revenue.

Pelico believes that its factory operations SaaS platform is the answer, particularly for factories which are pivoting from mass production to more discrete models with variable products in smaller volumes. By leveraging data analysis and AI modeling, Pelico is able to foresee bottlenecks such as parts shortages, then provide AI-generated recommendations.

The last few years have seen a growing number of startups enter this space as manufacturers feel the supply chain squeeze. Though it’s a highly competitive market, Pelico has grown quite strongly in Europe. Now having secured major funding, the French startup is aiming to expand further while continuing to develop its product.
