  • The right candidate will quickly become a trusted operating partner and will ensure successful delivery of Sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, account assignments, territory planning, GTM rules of engagement definition, Sales and CS performance reporting, process optimization, and talent development
  • Owning and setting the vision for the Revenue Operations function, fostering a culture of collaboration and data-driven decision making, and prioritizing an achievable roadmap for each of its teams
  • Partnering closely with Finance and Revenue Leaders to drive go-to-market strategies while collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing and Product to achieve growth goals
  • Collaborating with Finance and Revenue Leaders to develop, align, and implement territory assignments, sales/compensation plans, and quotas, along with the calculation of commission payouts
  • Keeping customer, lead, revenue, and other corporate data aligned and accurate across the organization
  • Analyzing the productivity of the Sales, CS, and BD teams and envisioning a tooling and systems roadmap for continuous improvement

  • Collaborating with the FP&A and Business Analytics teams to identify performance trends through the proactive analysis of reports and dashboards
  • Partner with Deal Desk to both (1) help to optimize the structure and terms of contracts in order to drive consistency and contractual outcomes, and (2) offload manually intensive activities off of the Sales/CS Reps shoulders

Our take

Foursquare was originally built as an app to make use of mobile phone GPS to 'check in' at certain locations. Over time, it has transformed from a user location check-in app into a large location platform that provides analytics to several business and consumer products.

Foursquare operates in a crowded market, but by continually innovating, it has managed to successfully fend off competitors. However, with the likes of Google Maps and Facebook Places in the same industry, it will be continually needing to set itself apart. Foursquare shows its appeal, though: major players including Twitter, Uber, Apple Maps, and Airbnb, to name a few, use the platform.

The company has an ambitious goal of bringing "Foursquare Everywhere", with part of its strategy to grow by acquisitions. For example, it acquired Unfolded, a geospatial analytics firm, to help enhance its analysis of location data. Foursquare has also made a deal with social media giant TikTok to provide insight into users' in-store activity to monitor the effectiveness of ads on the video platform, and partnered with Constellation Network to provide insights into restaurant and retail business traffic trends.
