Who you are

  • Prior experience in a business development or sales role within a consulting firm
  • Strong track record in finding, qualifying, and selling new Enterprise business opportunities
  • History of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quota for new business development and revenue generation
  • Proven success selling related solutions/services to the Life Science industry
  • Solid foundation in account management, radiation and pipelining
  • Knowledge of Medical, Commercial, and/or Patient Services enterprise software solutions
  • Experience working with large partner organizations
  • Stable and progressive history of quota achievement
  • Prior participation in a formal sales training
  • Track record of challenging and improving a customer’s way of doing business
  • Highly effective communication skills with prior experience creating slide decks and presenting them
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships quickly, foster relationships, and convert them to business

What the job involves

  • The Area Vice President, Sales (Enterprise Strategy & Transformation) is a strategic and trusted advisor for named clients
  • They will be responsible for intimately understanding their clients needs, and providing a consultative selling approach to achieve those goals
  • They will advance customer relationships while expanding Komodo’s Salesforce powered enterprise workflow product offerings - Medical Information Cloud (MIC), Komodo Publications Planning (KPP), and Komodo Care Connect (KCC)
  • Their primary responsibility will be to drive Komodo assets to increase profitability
  • Met or exceeded sales quota by driving education and adoption of our Enterprise Workflow products in the Life Sciences market
  • Developed a deep understanding of Komodo’s workflow product suite and the advantages Komodo offers
  • Established multiple relationships with key Life Science decision makers within your assigned accounts
  • Measured, tracked, and grew customer health to ensure the successful renewal of current subscriptions
  • Manage an account base of 5-7 strategically selected accounts of the top Pharmaceutical companies
  • Actively seek out new sales leads and business opportunities through active networking and sending personal, strategic, value-add emails, calls and social messages (no copying and pasting)
  • “Walk the halls” of client accounts to develop key relationships and a strong presence within the organization
  • Map accounts and understand who the key stakeholders are across different functions and being able to land and expand within these strategic accounts
  • Collaborate with key internal counterparts to drive a unified strategy
  • Research a company, identify opportunities, and strategize an approach to create interest
  • Profile potential prospects based on predetermined criteria

Komodo Health has built a healthcare map, an artificial intelligence and data analytics tool that tracks the healthcare encounters of well over 300 million patients. The service helps providers, pharmaceutical companies, and scientists identify opportunities for intervention and care improvements. It also helps them to analyze how products are performing in the market, identify at-risk patient groups, study the effectiveness of treatments, and detect patterns in drug and patient behavior.

Komodo Health’s comprehensive platform helps customers to better understand health and it is challenging the fragmentation of healthcare that contributes to inconsistent, unsatisfying results for both patients and providers. It has used its considerable amount of funding to focus on accelerating growth through further innovation and development of its enterprise technology platform, application suite and core data assets.

Komodo Health made cuts to its core team at the end 2022 as part of a restructuring following a large equity funding round. This is very likely to be part of a push for profitability as it gears up for an IPO. With its business strategy realigned, it is resuming hiring in all areas to continue to develop its product and grow its market share.
