Our take

Purchasing a sofa can be challenging due to its size, preventing customers from being able to purchase them through fast delivery services. Whilst they can be viewed in retail stores and showrooms, their size leads to sofas being stored in warehouses with limited space, and in turn, this results in expensive delivery costs and long waiting times.

Swyft Home differentiate themselves by selling sofas that come flat-packed in boxes, reducing their size and thus facilitating 24 hour delivery. Whilst other UK-based sofa-in-a-box manufacturers such as Snug, Argos, and DFS will present significant competition to Swyft Home, the company stands out with its high quality and environmentally sustainable approach to the production of its furniture.

Moving forwards, the company are partnering with independent furniture stores to widen their customer base. Swyft's main challenge will be dealing with global supply chain shortages which could potentially cause significant problems in sourcing key product components and keeping up with demand.
