What the job involves

  • ⭐ Mission: Join Qonto as Head of Frontend to lead 3 of our cross-functional teams in creating cutting-edge, scalable web solutions that will revolutionize the FinTech industry. Working closely with our Engineering leadership, you'll drive the technical strategy that will shape the future of our web platform, impacting millions of users across Europe
  • 👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Head of Frontend at Qonto, you will:
  • Leadership & People Management:
  • Manage 3 teams of 15+ engineers
  • Coach your team leaders and engineers to maintain quality and velocity while the team grows and complexity increases
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to managers, empowering them to make decisions and grow in their roles.
  • Strategic delivery & Technical impact:
  • Drive delivery of product features and improvements with a high level of quality and on time
  • Drive the ongoing React migration project, balancing technical debt reduction with new feature development
  • Customer Focus & Stakeholder Management:
  • Spread a culture of continuous improvement: learn how to write better code to ship features faster
  • Foster collaboration with partner teams such as Product, Data, Backend, Mobile & and with third parties

Since its 2016 foundation, Qonto has grown into one of Europe’s most high profile fintech startups. It offers payment services and bookkeeping to SMEs and freelancers, in return for a monthly subscription.

Qonto’s rapid growth has seen it expand its footprint from France into Spain, Germany, and Italy. The company is capitalising on the digitisation of the financial services industry and has leveraged close business and product partnerships with other major fintech startups like Stripe, October, and PayFit, to continue improving its offerings.

The company's value has soared well into the billions and, on top of this, in 2022, the company completed the fastest-to-date €5 million fundraise on Crowdcube. Moving forward, Qonto appears to be working on building up its presence in newer territories. This includes the integration of Penta, a digital business banking provider for SMEs and freelancers in Germany, that will now operate as "Penta by Qonto".
