Role

Who you are

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Experience working in bank credit transfers (FasterPayment, SEPA instant, RTP and FEDNOW), nice to have experience with BACS, NACHA and SDD’s, bank account validation tools, as well as open banking
  • Data-driven: Skilled at leveraging data and business insights to determine strategic priorities and drive the product roadmap and execution
  • Customer-first: Think from the customer's perspective and can balance future opportunities with immediate needs
  • End-to-end mindset: Think in a structured and diligent manner, understanding all key components necessary to drive the ongoing success of a product
  • Leadership: Excellent at collaborating with stakeholders in product, engineering, commercial, and business teams proactively, demonstrating high EQ and influencing skills
  • Effective communicator: Able to inspire others with a shared vision and simplify complex concepts for a wide range of audiences

What the job involves

  • Checkout.com is seeking a Senior Product Manager and leader to develop our pay to bank proposition
  • Bank payouts sit within the emerging products pillar at checkout, this is our internal incubator to build the next big thing/drive more utility across the checkout ecosystem
  • The environment is fast paced, high growth, impact driven. You can quickly see a direct impact of your day to day work on the metrics
  • This role will build on the foundation of the current bank product, to build a world class bank payment solution, that secures, the fastest processing time, the best conversation, across the EU, UK and USA
  • The successful candidate will provide cross-functional leadership across product, engineering, and business teams, to enable our merchants to receive their funds on demand, to help scale their businesses, as well as grow our customer base that requires a pay to bank product (e.g. payouts, and market places)
  • They will establish a robust foundation and drive the product to scale
  • Daily tasks include understanding stakeholders’ pain points, driving prioritization for product development, and developing new capabilities for our customers
  • Develop a pay to bank plan (vendors, tools, capabilities), work with your engineering counterparts to build a roadmap and to advance the functionalities and coverage of Checkout.com’s bank payout product
  • Provide domain expertise around bank payments and implementations to serve business and customer needs
  • Optimize current processes and processing to minimize rejects, declines and improve the overall STP and success rate
  • Build strong partnerships with business, product, and technology stakeholders and work with them their buy-in and collaboration to generate momentum for your products
  • Work with other product and engineering leaders to ensure alignment with their roadmaps and delivery
  • Gain a deep understanding of Checkout.com ’s customers and business
  • Foster a team culture that upholds Checkout.com’s operating principles
