Role

Who you are

  • You have been in technical sales before in similar roles (Technical Account Manager, Solution Architect, or even SaaS Account Executive)
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a Pre-Sales, Engagement Management, LMS implementation consultant, or technical consulting
  • B.A. or B.S. degree
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time within the US & Canada
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Understanding of enterprise technologies and systems, including SSO, CRM, ERP or HRIS
  • Have a strong ability to share your technical knowledge while maintaining an upbeat pace and a problem-solving mindset
  • Knowledge of the LMS industry and its surrounding standards will be plus (SCORM, xAPI)

What the job involves

  • Our ideal candidate loves working with people to help them understand technology, and will collaborate closely with our sales team on complex deals spanning months
  • You will work with our prospects to discover, analyze, prepare, and lead demos and presentations that show value in linking functionality to the prospects’ needs
  • This is a pre-sales role, and you will be leveraging industry knowledge to serve as an expert and consultant throughout the sales process
  • Reports to: Manager of Solutions Engineering, North America
  • Roll-up your sleeves, and become a trusted advisor to all levels within the prospective customer organization from CEOs, to Developers, to Learning & Development Directors. Tag team with Sales, and operate with outstanding synchronization to guide projects and close business
  • Be a responsive and creative member of cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, customer success) and provide value internally to your sales team as well as to your assigned prospects
  • Be process driven, come to deeply understand the learning industry, and be able to explain the product in the context of real usage in a real project​
  • Understand and master our product; become a pro at describing our product to prospects, telling stories to help tie functionality to their business’ needs, and respond quickly and accurately to questions they have surrounding our technology
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to prospective customers
  • Plan and configure our products to meet presentation needs, as well as deliver on product demonstrations that walk through our prospect’s user-stories and workflows
