  • You have built a team, managed people or delivered complex cross functional projects
  • Expert problem-solver and detail oriented: You are not fazed by complex problems and are able to offer creative solutions. You think critically and troubleshoot effectively, whether it's resolving technical or operational issues. You know when to ask questions to clarify expectations. You are organised and take pride in the quality of your work. You can design and manage complex processes, follow guidelines, and ensure a high degree of accuracy in your outputs
  • Strong communicator: You are able to align people around chaos using a variety of mediums from written, verbal, and visually. You are an effective active listener and are able to interact with stakeholders in a concise and effective manner. Comfortable with numbers and synthesising data into clear insights and opportunities
  • Executional powerhouse: Strategy is simple, achieving it through flawless execution is what’s hard. Maintaining momentum will require good judgment and acting quickly within a fast-paced environment
  • Patient-first: Possesses an entrepreneurial and ‘patient-first’ mindset, highly driven to reach the best clinical and experience outcomes for our patients
  • Ownership mindset and a servant leader: You have a charismatic ‘can do’ attitude. You are motivated by impact and driven by wanting to help others. You go the extra mile to create outcomes for your team, stakeholders, and our patients. We’re still a small team and there will be blurred lines between roles. We will all need to pitch in to get the job done. This includes motivating the team, prioritising what will move the needle and being ready to help others, regardless of task or team
  • Calm, collected and adaptable: You thrive in a fast-paced, chaotic, startup environment where you will need to balance quality with velocity and a MVP mindset. You understand how to to prioritise, manage multiple projects end to end and deliver growth results within a highly ambiguous environment

  • You have worked in health tech or women’s health
  • You have a personal interest in women’s health
  • You have domain specific expertise that would contribute to the project (marketing, copywriting, product)

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for our very own ‘smooth operator’ to lead the scaling and optimisation of one of our operations functions
  • Operations can be messy and sometimes a quick-and-dirty solution is the right one. At other times, rigour is rewarded. As Operations Manager you'll analyse problems, design solutions and execute
  • You'll spearhead one of our teams in the UK, such as Clinical Operations or Supply Chain, to scale a sustainable tele-health operation that is safe, efficient and ultimately drives positive outcomes for patients
  • Drive the growth & development of key operations work-streams such as: clinical operations (prescribing & medical support), pharmacy fulfilment, supply chain, patient experience and new product development
  • In operations we continually think about three things: cost, quality, and scale…
  • Do our patients have the highest quality interactions every single day? Do we maintain our high safety standards as we grow? Are there ways to increase our efficiency and reduce cost of goods sold (COGS) while not compromising on quality or safety?
  • Your work as Operations Manager will be to ensure we keep the lights on every day through mission-critical BAU in your team, combined with spearheading projects to improve the above three areas as we scale
  • You’ll coordinate resources to focus on the most important problems, assess data & trends to get up the curve on what is happening, and help guide team members to execute
  • Examples projects you could oversee:
  • Design and roll out a management framework for our prescriber workforce to support a rapidly growing number of patient consultations
  • Investigate feasibility and launch a new offshore medical support team to improve coverage inbound medical enquiries
  • Run monthly operations P&L reporting and analysis with assessment on how to optimise COGS… then go do it! (negotiate contracts, hire new team members, source new suppliers etc.)
  • Assess manual tasks that are driving yield loss for our patient-facing teams, and find simple technical solutions to improve hand-off of patient enquiries across functions
  • Support the pharmacy team in building the fulfilment process for scale, to go from shipping hundreds of orders per day to thousands
  • We’re growing quicker than expected…get stuck into hiring and head to our pharmacy for a day to help the team pack boxes!

Our take

The consumer-health industry is booming, driven by an ageing population, a proliferation of wellness-related products and services, burgeoning sources of health-related information, and consumers’ desire to control their health. In the UK alone the market is valued at nearly £3 billion, and with considerable growth expected over the next decade, this is a sector ripe with opportunity.

Eucalyptus is gunning to become a big player in this industry. Founded in Australia, its goal is to build digital healthcare solutions for patients all over the world. Founded in 2019, Euc has since launched 5 demographically tailored brands and facilitated over 1 million medical consultations worldwide. Built a team of approaching 500 Eucalypts in 6 countries consisting of medical practitioners, engineers, operators and many more functions! Raised over $100M in funding from the same investors who backed Canva, Uber, and AirBnB.

And in 2024 Eucalyptus's UK market has more than tripled and is on track to ~4-5x by the end of the year. In the UK, Juniper is the core brand, with a focus on tackling obesity through a combination of medication and lifestyle change.
