Our take

GoGuardian provides Chromebook management software that protects students online and gives educators better control over how their technology is used. It offers a range of features and tools to support classroom management, student engagement, and online safety.

In addition to web filtering, GoGuardian offers products for classroom management and monitoring, including real-time monitoring of students' device screens. As well as including a feature to identify at-risk students, though privacy concerns have been raised. Striking a balance between student safety and privacy is important, with transparency and a strong privacy policy being essential.

Over 25 million students across over 6000 US school districts make use of GoGuardian's software. With schools increasingly turning towards digital education systems, the company is positioned well to expand its services - for example into tutoring with its acquisition of TutorMe - and to profit from increased EdTech investment.
