Who you are
- BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (Test) with a passion for developing robust software and an interest in leveraging test automation to enhance software quality
- Proven experience in software development, with a strong portfolio of projects that demonstrate your skills in coding and test automation
- Demonstrable expertise in creating or expanding test automation frameworks that complement and enhance software development processes
- Leadership skills with experience in mentoring colleagues in both software development and test automation practices
- A solid understanding of cloud-native application design, development best practices, and the integration of test automation within the agile software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in programming with C#, JavaScript, Python or a similar level language, and applying an understanding of QA methodology
- Proficiency in using GitHub Actions or similar, Docker containers, and other CI tools; familiarity with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress or equivalent
- Experience in end-to-end testing both with and without a UI
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of driving improvements
- You are an excellent team player who values open and constructive feedback and possesses a strong work ethic
- Adaptable and flexible, ready to navigate through changing requirements and situations with a positive attitude
- Proactive in addressing and solving problems, with persistence and coordination skills to overcome challenges effectively

What the job involves
- This role presents an opportunity to take the lead in overcoming cloud-scale challenges, shape the way we build, test, and deliver a pioneering Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) system with top-notch reliability and performance
- Develop and maintain critical features for enterprise-scale products while ensuring their quality and stability through test automation
- Design, implement, and maintain effective test automation strategies and infrastructures that align with software development goals
- Spearhead the creation of test plans and strategies that integrate seamlessly with the software development process
- Analyze and socialize test results to identify actionable improvements, driving enhancements in our software’s performance and reliability
- Champion the adoption of test automation best practices and sharing knowledge with team members and peers in a cloud-based environment
- Work alongside development teams to ensure software designs meet our quality and operational excellence standards, contributing to resilient and testable feature development
- Engage in the software design review process, emphasizing customer-focused and testable solutions and considering resiliency in negative scenarios
- Participate in providing production support for cloud applications and services, including an on-call rotation
