What the job involves

  • This is a Maternity Cover FTC for 12 months
  • This role within the pivotal Product Development department will be focused on supporting SNR roles in the creative conceptualization and day-to-day development of products, including research, data analysis, PowerPoint creation, artist collaboration and shade creations, formula testing, model testing and supplier interface
  • They will be a part of the internal collaboration process with brand marketing, packaging, regulatory, quality, design and copy teams and manage the critical path to ensure deadlines are met
  • They will champion certain elements of the process including samples coordination from suppliers for regions to ensure accurate forecasts and helping to ensure production teams have sufficient product samples
  • The role requires the ability to work through conflict and know-how of when a topic needs to be escalated
  • Management of end-to-end NPD process (Accessories & Tools) from inception to launch for multiple projects at once (10+) including CPA management, assessing needs and mitigating risk at each stage through clear communication and action plan alignment cross functionally
  • Applies fashion sensibility and POD VS marketplace to create top-tier makeup and fashion bags that align with project purpose and price points
  • Works closely with partnership teams (when necessary) to manage project ensuring creative process stays on track and teams have clarity on needs and next steps and deadlines / implications when changes occur
  • Works closely with Gifting & TOA on strategy & holiday planning
  • Creates design briefs (with BM when appropriate) for creative services & suppliers
  • Collaborate creatively to define the innovation and product marketing hook with a customer and industry expert lens and collaborate on story telling
  • Managing supplier relationships and collaborating with procurement for best COGs
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and troubleshoot development challenges effectively
  • Work cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution, partnering with global brand marketing to collaborate on presentation decks
  • Regular interface with Supply Chain team to manage project logistics and flag issues appropriately when they arise
  • Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams to ensure all necessary documentation is received and testing protocols are followed
  • Prepare NPD information for forecasting decks
  • Prepare innovation slides for founder presentations
  • Work closely with team of pro-artists to co-create ranges and manage approval process considering all feedback
  • Travel as needed to meet suppliers and conduct trend research
  • Lead all accessories and tools supplier relationships, presenting updates to the business, and maintaining a product/material innovation library
