What the job involves

  • Reddit is seeking a Director of Revenue Strategy & Operations to partner with our Global Large Customer Sales team through the next several stages of growth
  • Business process planning with cross-functional partners (e.g., Finance) that will build company confidence in annual goals
  • Drive the business weekly through operating information and cadence (e.g., weekly revenue call)
  • Proactive strategic projects that enable sales leaders to better operate their teams, resulting in quantifiable business outcomes (e.g., more hours with client, better forecasting of revenue)
  • Leverage first and third party market data to create new sales programs, and continually refine go-to-market across all segments of Reddit's ads business, in collaboration with channel and regional sales leadership
  • Support demand side growth acceleration by developing a playbook for rapidly ramping sales teams, and providing measurement, data and operating insights to leaders
  • Overlay a market opportunity view with the internal view to identify opportunities for new pockets of revenue

Reddit is a website that facilitates thousands of message board communities, known as subreddits, with an aim to promote authentic human connection. There are more than 100,000 communities on Reddit, covering everything, from food, entertainment, sports, and books, to more niche topics that cater for very specific audiences.

The simple platform is used by more than 52 million people a day and attracts over 50 billion monthly views. While these are impressive numbers, they do pale in comparison with social media giants Facebook and Twitter, however, Reddit distinguishes itself by providing easy-to-find communities for a truly endless range of topics.

Reddit makes money through advertising as well as offering a premium ad-free membership plan. The company has enjoyed continuous user & revenue growth, acquisitions by Conde Nast in 2006 and Advance in 2011, and plans to launch an IPO bid in 2024.
