Who you are
- 4+ years of backend software development experience.
- Familiarity with building highly concurrent systems, REST API design and data processing pipelines
- Proven experience working on large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team. Comfortable taking on large scope of work
- Emphasis on clean and high quality code, with strong testing practices
- Ability to take product specifications and build backend systems that are extensible, performant and reliable
- Strong technical grasp combined with clear judgment on task prioritization

What the job involves
- As a Backend Software Developer on this highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of experienced developers with diverse skills, including several Staff developers.
- You will be responsible for building several critical components for shipping this product, in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes high-quality work
- As a key member of a team that is creating a 0-to-1 product that is expected to grow in the coming years, you will make significant customer and business impact
- Build scalable systems and components, making the right tradeoffs to account for stability and long-term maintainability
- Design, write, test, and release product-facing features with strong emphasis on correctness and scalability requirements
- Collaborate with our frontend and data teams to fine tune our REST APIs supporting millions of customers
- Find opportunities to improve system performance, team productivity and reduce risk
