  • As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will partner with customers, sales, and several other teams to craft highly flexible and resilient architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of services
  • In collaboration with sales, you will help drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced-based solutions
  • You will seek out opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broaden the use of the platform across customer organizations. You will utilize your ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges
  • As an Senior Solutions Architect you are joining a team that invests in your success by providing comprehensive learning and mentorship programs
  • The FSI (Financial Services and Insurance) Solutions Architecture team provides an opportunity to work in an open environment that includes self-paced learning, instructor-led training, hands-on projects, and job shadowing opportunities to develop your knowledge of the ecosystem of services and solutions
  • Build deep relationships with customers to become a trusted advisor for their most critical workloads that support their digital transformation and journey to the cloud
  • Support achievement of revenue objectives through the adoption and migration of applications, software, and services onto the platform in partnership with the sales team
  • Educate customers on the value proposition of cloud and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment
  • Contribute to internal and customer-facing publications such as white-papers and blogs as a means of scaling your knowledge
  • Act as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support to address customer needs
  • The Senior Solutions Architect will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather comprehensive business and technical requirements. They will design innovative cloud-based solutions, create detailed proofs of concept, and deliver compelling demos to articulate the value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Key activities include leading architecture workshops, propose solutions, documenting solution designs, conducting demos, providing guidance on cloud best practices, and contribute to internal and customer-facing publications such as white-papers and blogs as a means of scaling your knowledge

Amazon is the world's largest online retailer, and is well-known for its disruption of well-established industries. The company is present in numerous verticals, including cloud computing with Amazon Web Services, AI with its range of Alexa devices and a global marketplace more commonly referred to as 'the everything store'. Acquisitions include Ring, Twitch, Whole Foods Market, and IMDb.

More recently, Amazon has been focused on leading the "third wave in digital advertising". Many businesses are now shifting ad dollars to retailers, which before would have been spent with online media platforms. Amazon's seen great success in the space, with its revenue from advertising now higher than its Amazon Prime membership scheme, audiobooks and digital music combined. This growth is particularly impressive considering its digital ad rivals (like Snap, Alphabet, and Meta) have suffered declines due to wider macroeconomic factors and Apple's iOS privacy changes.

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
