Who you are

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in programming, scripting, automation, or IT-related roles within a high-growth technology company
  • Bachelor’s degree in information science, computer science, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience or interest in working with financial data models (e.g., LTV, Cohort Analysis, Retention modeling, Seasonality analysis) is preferred
  • Advanced analytical skills, capable of identifying fundamental patterns and trends in data
  • History of collaborative work with different personalities, fostering a cohesive team environment
  • Comfort and familiarity with a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Proficient in documenting solutions and technical specifications following standard policies and procedures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and drive cross-functional understanding and cooperation
  • Knowledgeable in technical troubleshooting methodologies and tools, with a systematic approach to problem-solving
  • Experience with Netsuite, Adaptive, financial modeling, and advanced Excel skills is a plus

What the job involves

  • We seek an experienced finance professional to lead the company’s cash flow forecasting and management, including review of monthly results, budget variance analysis, and managing the company’s long term cash projection model.
  • Additionally, this role will serve a key role in managing reporting requirements for executive-level and Board of Directors presentations
  • Enhance Financial Modeling: Continuously refine and optimize the company’s corporate financial model to meticulously track and analyze crucial metrics, assessing their profound impact on overall performance
  • Forecasting Refinement: Elevate forecasting models, encompassing vital areas such as Lifetime Value (LTV), Cohort Revenue, Seasonality and Trend Analysis, Subscription Modeling, fostering seamless collaboration with broader finance and analytics teams
  • Efficiency Improvement: Identify avenues for efficiency enhancement in the preparation of routine deliverables, spearheading efforts in reporting and modeling automation to streamline operations
  • Innovative Solutions Development: Harness advanced SQL, Tableau, and Python programming skills to devise groundbreaking solutions for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) projects, ensuring cutting-edge methodologies drive business success
  • Complex Visualizations: Conceptualize and implement intricate visualizations in Tableau, adeptly sourcing, processing, and managing data from diverse database sources to provide actionable insights
  • System Integration Mastery: Cultivate a profound understanding of the company’s financial systems, orchestrating seamless data integrations between pivotal systems to optimize operational efficiency
  • Data Engineering Integration: Leverage expertise in data integration and programming languages to fortify data analytics and data engineering capabilities, contributing to the organization's technological advancement
  • Financial Systems Project Leadership: Lead the planning of financial systems projects, orchestrating project management endeavors and coordinating external consulting resources alongside internal business and finance teams to drive successful outcomes
  • Thorough Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive data analysis and exploration, harnessing Business Intelligence (BI) tools for self-service analytics and advanced dashboarding to unveil actionable insights
  • Data Modeling Expertise: Employ robust data modeling skills to ensure the accurate representation of data for business needs, spanning data ingestion, cleaning, manipulation, and exploratory data analysis
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, product, and platform engineering, to integrate disparate data sources and types, facilitating comprehensive insights
  • Tailored Analytics Solutions: Apply profound knowledge of the finance domain to deliver bespoke analytics solutions, tailored to meet specific organizational requirements
  • The Strategic Finance team supports Life360’s strategic initiatives and operational processes, partnering closely with executives and key organizational leaders to make data-driven decisions
  • The team is responsible for both core finance processes, including the annual planning and monthly forecasting processes, and strategic finance support that is central to the leadership team’s financial and strategic decisions
