Who you are
- Expert level experience in designing and managing large, scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant systems
- Expert level experience in Cloud-based application development (we use AWS)
- Excellent practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
- Ability to work with different OOP languages (Java and C#)
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL
- Experience with financial technology or financial services or is a plus
- You have a passion for designing and delivering cloud-based distributed systems to solve critical business needs
- You enjoy learning new skills and using the best tools for the job
- You are able to identify and proactively take steps to raise the engineering standards of the engineering team. You influence this through knowledge sharing and mentoring
- You are enthusiastic about delivery and working in a fast-paced agile environment
- You have excellent communication skills and an ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
What the job involves
- As a Senior Software Engineer at Checkout.com in Financial Experiences, you will be providing expert technical contribution in the design and implementation of our cloud-based finance platform
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional product teams, you will lead technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle
- Working seamlessly with product teams, your insights will align technical solutions with business needs
- Beyond individual contributions, your role includes mentoring team members to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning
