Otta's take

Theo Margolius headshot

Theo Margolius

COO of Otta

The increasing scarceness of energy commodities makes them a highly lucrative trading instrument, but understanding the macro markets that drive their prices is difficult. Commodity prices react to real-time market events that can be tough to follow, and whilst the analysis of such events can mitigate this risk, the time-sensitive nature of investment greatly limits the quantity of data investors can utilize effectively.

Energy Aspects delivers global energy commodity data and intelligence-driven insights to institutional investors, aggregating market events and global datasets to drive accurate modeling and forecasting. The company provides its services in the form of databases and real-time insights, in addition to offering on-demand access to query responses from its global team of commodity investment experts.

While all energy commodity investment firms already leverage data to drive their trades, Energy Aspects has recognized that such decisions are based on limited access to data analytic teams. By combining its team of experts with comprehensive databases of global energy data, the company aims to maximize the value of data that institutional investors have access to whilst limiting the amount of analytic work that they must do manually.
