Who you are

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience shipping high quality, delightful experiences with a focus on two-sided ecosystems across consumers and creators
  • A proven track record of building consumer products, powered by machine learning to solve business problems, especially search and recommendation systems
  • Post graduate education (MS or PhD) in a technical or applied quantitative field or equivalent experience in: Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Operations research, Information theory, Control theory, Econometrics or similar experience
  • Interdisciplinary experience. In addition to the standard product functions of design and engineering, you have experience working within a multidimensional environment including analytics, business development, communications/PR, and marketing
  • Skills to convey complex ideas through written, visual, and verbal communication, always focusing on the reasons behind everything you do. Those skills transition from the detailed and technical for specs to the inspirational for strategic presentations

What the job involves

  • As a Senior/Principal Product Manager on Marketplace, you will have a front seat at shaping the future of Marketplace and what it means to build an economy powered by our community
  • Be responsible for the discovery and recommendations experience on Marketplace. This includes the Marketplace homepage, improving the end to end search product and building our recommendation engine that powers these consumer experiences
  • Get hands-on with our community, understand their needs, and partner with the engineers, designers and data scientists to build roadmaps
  • Balance the needs of a two-sided Marketplace, constantly striving to deliver for our community and consumers, while using a combination of data and research to inform and iterate on decisions
  • Defend your POV against skeptics. Be open to feedback and adapting your ideas to deliver the best output
  • Help build the future of self-expression and shopping on Roblox!
  • Serve as the E2E owner of the product development life cycle from inception through planning to launch
  • Drive enrollment from engineers and inspire them to build high impact products that fit the needs of our target audience
  • Engage with engineering beyond just product and user experience needs; you will roll up your sleeves and brainstorm technical solutions to product problems
  • Write all technical specs and partner with design to create elegant, simple, and seamless tools for advertisers and publishers alike
  • Work with data science to analyze data, set up experiments, define success and guardrail metrics. Ultimately you will drive data informed high confidence decisions on behalf of the organization
  • Hire and mentor new PMs on the team
