Who you are
- 10+ years of experience in product delivery and system design
- Deep technical expertise across multiple domains (AI, Cloud, application platforms, etc)
- Extensive experience with architecture and system design
- Significant autonomy and independence spanning short-term and long-term strategic projects
- Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale business critical projects
What the job involves
- As an Engineering Director, you will combine technical excellence and team effectiveness to drive outcomes for Jasper customers
- You will spend time in system and technical design, and have architectural oversight over evolving Jasper’s multi-modal AI platform
- This is a pivotal role, setting the technical direction with engineering and company leadership
- You will be part of a close-knit engineering team that ships new code into production multiple times a day
- This fully remote role reports to the Chief Technology Officer
- Define the technical vision, system design, architecture, product development, and scope to deliver on customer outcomes and company mission
- Lead large-sized business-critical projects from initiation to ongoing improvement
- Ability to be hands-on when needed to shape the product and technology
- Define and communicate product and technical strategy with diverse audiences
- Be a trusted voice of Jasper technically and drive innovation in the fields of AI and Marketing

Jasper allows enterprises to create written copy and content quickly for a range of purposes, from SEO rankings to ad conversions and social media posts across a growing list of languages.
While AI has been going mainstream across many industries, its use in creative content production, rather than content analysis, has largely been met with doubt. Jasper is attempting to up the standards with its writing assistant, which can generate original long or short form content based on a short brief.
With over 100,000 customers, Jasper is used by a number of high-profile companies such as Google, IBM, and Airbnb. While ChatGPT has been dominating the news space surrounding generative AI, it has significant limits resulting from overburdened servers and a long waitlist to use the product - whereas JasperAI provides faster results and is readily available. The company is well set to see further growth as it rides the rising popularity wave of generative AI.
