Who you are

  • You are a passionate problem solver with both a commercial and analytical skill set and experience driving workstreams independently
  • You are proactive and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced and collaborative environment whilst communicating efficiently with teams and individuals across King
  • You have experience from a business role (strategy, management consulting, pricing, etc.) focused on topline improvements in a B2C environment, and an analytical skill set with a passion for data-driven decision making
  • You have knowledge about key pricing and commercial methods and techniques
  • You are experienced with driving workstreams independently and approaching abstract business and strategy problems
  • You are proactive and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced and collaborative environment
  • Effective communicator with a shown ability to get analytical insights across to teams and individuals
  • You have an interest in product and games development
  • You are confident in SQL and data extraction and likely know Python, R or similar
  • Masters’ or PhD Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering or similar field or work experience

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a dedicated and creative Senior Product Analyst interested in pushing our topline performance as a part of the Candy Crush Saga In-App Purchase & Economy area
  • You will get the opportunity to be part of a great team, working with an industry leading and genre defining game with over 200 million active players
  • As a Senior Product Analyst focusing on our In-App Purchases, you will partner with product managers, product analysts, and data scientists (among others) to improve performance of the monetization in Candy Crush from a business, strategy, and product perspective
  • You will be working with varied stakeholders in a fun, dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Perform quantitative & qualitative analyses to identify product and monetization opportunities for Candy Crush Saga in-app purchases
  • Design in-game experiments and perform AB-tests to validate product opportunity hypotheses and improve business outcomes
  • Partner with product managers to drive ad-hoc analytical and strategic workstreams to drive step-changes in in-app purchases performance, such as pricing strategy
  • Communicate results of your analysis in a clear and concise manner, with an understanding of data visualization and the importance of drawing accurate conclusions from multiple data sources
  • Define best practices, new KPIs and inquisitive processes for reporting on our progress to the rest of the immediate team and fellow Candy Crushers

Gaming is one of the world’s fastest-growing industries, but many still view gaming as inconvenient, inaccessible, or niche. King solves that problem by designing mobile games with broad market appeal.

Since its launch, King has released more than 200 titles in 14 languages, including Candy Crush, Farm Heroes, Bubble Witch, Pet Rescue, and more. The company pioneered in-game spending, which allows it to monetize user interactions without charging them to buy the game. Titles such as Candy Crush are designed to be highly accessible to demographics that wouldn’t usually define themselves as β€œgamers”, including older users. King now boasts more than 200 million monthly active users, making it a clear market leader.

In 2016, King was bought by gaming giant Activision Blizzard, which has since been purchased by Microsoft. While the company still operates with a high degree of independence, it has greatly profited from the financial and marketing support of its parent corporation. This support has been instrumental in enabling King to maintain its competitiveness in the constantly evolving mobile gaming industry.
