Role

Who you are

  • 8+ years’ experience and proven success in Business Development, GTM Strategy, Partner Success, RevOps, or BizOps roles. Experience in B2B2C, FinTech and/or PropTech strongly preferred
  • Direct, hands-on experience working with existing partners to increase portfolio of business, and with prospects to help educate them on the Flex value proposition
  • Expertise and experience in developing senior-level, trust and performance-based relationships by identifying and proposing solutions that best meet our partners’ needs
  • Creative problem-solver that inspires employees and partners with passion to develop business solutions our partners value
  • Strong operational discipline and track record of leading teams against specific KPIs
  • Ability (and desire) to work in a fast paced, ever-changing, highly cross-functional environment
  • Experience developing and managing a performance-driven culture and team of 3+
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a leader who can enhance and scale our B2B Partner Success function into a revenue-generating growth engine in its own right
  • As we take on new strategic business opportunities spanning new market exploration, new product expansion, and new partner channels, this Partner Expansion leader will be instrumental in making sure that we are leveraging our partners to create the highest value for the business and our customers
  • Post-Sales Growth: Develop and execute plans to accelerate business value and customer value through our partners (e.g., upgrading integrations, driving co-marketing efforts), collaborating closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing
  • Partner Success Strategy: Elevate Flex’s Partner Success strategy and methodology, building a growth-oriented, scalable motion that will best support our partners
  • Data-driven Accountability: Establish clarity and accountability on both leading and lagging indicators to track partner health, adoption, utilization, retention, and growth potential. Use data to design post-sales growth initiatives and inform our long-term roadmap
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture C-level relationships across key accounts, reinforcing our commitment to our partners
  • Strategic Insights: Surface partner trends, opportunities, and challenges to leadership and present a point of view on how to further derive value for and from partners
  • Organizational Alignment: Develop strong through-lines with internal stakeholders, especially Sales, Growth, and Product
  • Talent Development: Hire and develop world class talent, creating an inclusive culture that inspires our teams to do their best work. Design robust operations metrics that provide insights into team performance, including methods to address gaps and grow individual potential

Our take

Many people struggle to pay their rent every month, with a variety of bills hitting their bank accounts simultaneously. Whilst many of these people earn enough money to cover their bills, the inflexible nature of monthly bills can make the all-in-one payment a harder obstacle.

Flex provides a mobile application for the flexible payment of rent, allowing users to pay their landlords through flexible payment plans, reschedule payments when necessary, and protect their funds through Overdraft Protection. The company achieves this by partnering with estate agents and paying their resident's bills upfront, taking on the challenges that landlords would normally have due to late payments.

Flex has experienced extremely rapid growth since its founding which has caused some issues, as it struggled to keep up with the surge in new customers. Having made improvements to its product and scaled its customer service team, it is set to continue providing a service that has come to be highly valued by both tenants and landlords.
