  • We’re looking for someone who is excited by motion design, and has a love for all things that move
  • You’ll have excellent collaboration and communication skills, attention to detail and artistic flair
  • We are looking for someone who can both design and animate, and has hands-on experience with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience working at a creative agency or in-house creative team
  • An outstanding portfolio of published work spanning different channels, from print to digital, including advertising, branding, motion, landing pages, and reports
  • Excellent hands-on experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experienced in motion graphics, 2D and After Effects, any additional 3D knowledge is a bonus
  • Email and performance marketing channel expertise
  • The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality design work
  • The ability to translate complex ideas into simple, clear, and compelling designs
  • The ability to think creatively, present ideas, and articulate the thinking behind them
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good spelling and grammar
  • Quick and calm thinking skills

What the job involves

  • Reporting to: Design Lead + Senior Designers
  • As a Midweight Integrated Designer, we’ll need you to create visual concepts across projects, and champion exceptional design, motion and craft
  • A strategic mindset, ready to tackle any challenge with a can-do attitude with the ability to apply creative thinking to briefs
  • You’ll work across all creative elements, from concept to delivery, to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing outcome

Our take

On average, home energy represents 26% of our carbon footprint. Ovo Energy wants to bring this to zero by providing cheaper, greener and simpler energy to customers. They are analysing meter data to deliver easy, personalised actions, turning electric vehicles into power stations with clever chargers, and building energy-efficient heaters. For households, their offering is organised into four different energy plans. that include interest rewards on energy credit balance.

In 2020, OVO completed the acquisition of SSE Energy Services' retail arm for £500 million, meaning that the challenger brand now has around 4 million customers in the UK.

While helping Ovo members halve their carbon footprints, the company is also working towards becoming a net zero carbon business by 2035. The challenges ahead for the company include encouraging consumer behaviour change, shifting towards subscription models for home energy use.
