Who you are

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field; an advanced degree may be considered in lieu of professional experience
  • 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, internal audit, software development, technical sales, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and representing company interests
  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements

Desirable

  • Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement
  • Consultant level in the Big Four or public accounting
  • Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred
  • Experience with ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics & Reporting solutions
  • Ability to present a value based, compelling software demonstrations

What the job involves

  • The Solution Consultant provides pre-sales support in the development and presentation of our solutions to address the complex problems that Workiva's platform solves
  • The qualified candidate will be able to offer specific technical subject matter expertise to the sales function, supporting the business and functional aspects of Workiva's platform and solutions via technical and architecture presentations, product demonstrations, and communication of value-based messaging about the Workiva platform
  • Additionally, the job requires development of example solutions, prototypes and proofs of concept to demonstrate viability and value of Workiva solutions
  • Execute pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via phone, web, or onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs
  • Ensure customer success by working with Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success
  • Demonstrate knowledge across multiple domain areas developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact
  • Assist in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition
  • Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, build and present customer specific business cases
  • May begin to deliver cross-domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers
  • Work with Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals
  • Assist Sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives
