Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex legal matters, providing strategic advice, and representing the company in various legal proceedings
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a focus on dispute resolution, litigation, and collections and a strong foundation in commercial contracts
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
What the job involves
- Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, the Corporate Counsel will provide legal support across various functions of the company, with a focus on supporting global revenue contracting, commercial dispute management, and collections
- Dispute Resolution: Handle and resolve commercial disputes involving the company
- Litigation Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of litigation in-house and manage outside counsel as appropriate
- Collections: Develop and implement strategies for the effective collection of outstanding debts, including initiating legal action when necessary
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licensing, procurement contracts, and NDAs
- Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy and security standards
- Legal Tech Stack: Utilize and manage legal technology tools to streamline legal processes and improve efficiency
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including sales, finance, and product development, to provide legal guidance and support
