To empower people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.

Role

Who you are

  • 5-7 years working in Sales Operations, Technical Program Management, or similar functions
  • Experience as an operations professional with a background in process development and internal tooling/systems
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce CRM and customization, beyond standard “out-of-the-box” implementations
  • Extensive experience working on SMB/scaled sales methodologies, including call centers, outsourced workforces, and customer acquisition/retention strategies. Focus on SAAS or Ad Sales is a major plus
  • Experience developing roadmaps across multiple technical initiatives within tight deadlines, with diverse contributors and senior stakeholders
  • Strong project management experience, with an ability to evaluate and re-prioritize rapidly and deliver results against aggressive deadlines
  • Commitment to strengthening the sales operational processes with knowledge, creativity and empathy

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent years of experience)
  • Experience working with large outsourced sales teams in an operational role
  • Fluency with operational ad sales data, including revenue/attainment, ROI calculations, churn assessment, and sales-rep efficiency analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiencies as a Program Manager in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience launching and driving adoption for org-wide changes to operational processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively as a change agent, influencing leadership and team members to take new actions and shift the daily behaviors of a team

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Sales Operations Lead to join Snap! As a member of the Sales Operations team, you will be responsible for making our sales team more efficient through Tooling and Systems
  • Working from our Santa Monica or New York office, you’ll collaborate with our various sales teams to develop first-class tools that facilitate optimal sales processes
  • Work closely with sales and operations leaders to design optimal sales processes and translate them into requirements for an allocated engineering team focused on internal tools
  • Identify business initiatives and gaps with existing tools and capture them in a ranked list of tooling priorities. Force tradeoffs among multiple stakeholders to ensure priorities are aligned and transparent
  • Partner with CRM Engineering and other Product/Engineering teams to ensure tooling builds meet the expectations of business stakeholders
  • Own user acceptance testing, beta testing, and final rollout/adoption effort for new tools or incremental improvements for existing tools
  • Develop detailed training materials and maintain reference materials for how tools work and what is expected from the sales team when using them
  • Be the accountable owner for the systems and tools that our sales team uses to support our advertising customers

Our take

Snap is the social media giant that owns Snapchat, a social media mobile app released in 2011. Created to serve as a more emotive communication form than texting, the app has gained mass popularity, reaching upwards of 400 million daily users worldwide.

After rejecting a billion dollar acquisition from Meta (then Facebook) in 2013, Snap has found itself in competition with the social media giant, particularly with Instagram. Despite this, the company has marked a place for itself in the ever competitive social media space through developing features like a Discover tab, augmented reality lenses, in-app games, ads and monetisation options, as well as launching its paid service, Snapchat+.

Snap has so far not earned an annual profit since going public in 2017, but as Snapchat's user base has continually increased it has nearly closed the gap. Like other tech companies it suffered in late 2022 due to a surprise drop in advertising revenue, but has been rebuilding to its former trajectory since then. Given Snapchat's lasting popularity amongst young people, further success appears likely.
