Who you are

  • This role requires excellent communication skills to work with tens of stakeholders on a regular basis, strong business judgement, as well as strong analytical, problem solving interpersonal skills combined with solid corporate finance knowledge and financial modelling skills
  • At least BSc in Economics and Finance
  • Strong knowledge of financial & business modeling, financial & budgeting tools
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance / business valuation (Big-4), financial planning & analysis or other related fields
  • Strong working knowledge of G-Sheets, Excel, SQL basic knowledge will be an advantage
  • Basic experience with BI, data visualization
  • Ability to understand complex ecosystems and translate them into high-end financial and operational models
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to accuracy and detail required
  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Flexibility and ability to work with pressing deadlines
  • Fluent in English

What the job involves

  • We are looking for a FP&A Manager to join Bolt Food’s Business Analytics team
  • In this role you will contribute to one of the most critical teams within the Bolt Food organization
  • Develop and supervise strategic models for strategic/financial purposes (e.g. strategic planning, top-down budgeting, scenario analysis, board discussions)
  • Participate in long-term business strategy development and regular updates
  • Evaluate new projects and investment opportunities
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Lead processes focused on improving, and automating recurring reporting, including adding moreinsights related to trends, exceptions, and dashboards/visualizations
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams
  • Prepared regular corporate executive presentation, reporting materials and perform ad-hoc financial and industry related analyses to uphold strategic decision-making

Their strategy is to focus on markets where Uber used to have a monopoly and then they come in with a better offering for drivers

Bolt has the ability to grow aggressively for now as they're well financed. They face a similar to challenge to Uber in that no company in this space has established a profitable business model that isn't propped up by investors with deep pockets. Creating a sustainable model that's better for drivers than Uber is the way Bolt can win
