What the job involves

  • As a Product Marketing Manager in the EMEA region, you will be responsible for our regional product positioning, messaging, and overall product content strategy.
  • Translating our product features into regional differentiators will be critical. You will need to understand the technical aspects of our product and service offerings, how to identify the core elements of differentiation, and create material that tells a great story for our customers across the EMEA region
  • You will report to the Senior Marketing Manager EMEA and be a member of the regional Growth, Strategy and Marketing Team. While you will not have any direct reports when you start, you will be managing some external contractors and can take on more responsibility within a rapidly growing company.
  • You should be able to work independently, but you will find that collaboration across several other groups in the organization such as product management, growth, sales, and services is key to achieving your goals
  • Work closely with Fluence’s Product Management, Services, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop product and system level positioning, naming, and messaging that differentiates Fluence’s products and features from others in the market and creates a great story that resonates with various customer segments
  • Build competitive product intelligence capabilities and tools in partnership with our commercial team, to ensure differentiation across our core EMEA markets. Work closely with EMEA Growth team to ensure adaptation of competitive insights
  • Use data and insights gained from customer feedback and analytics to support product positioning and messaging
  • Support the key account management framework by creating a deep understanding of customers and customer needs through customer journey mapping and persona development
  • Create in-depth content such as spec sheets, website copy, sales collateral (brochure, PowerPoint, etc.), blog posts, storyboards for product animations and videos, and other material needed to explain complex product, services, and safety concepts. Work closely with and provide creative direction to graphic designers and other design professionals
  • Support the content needs for an array of regional marketing campaigns and customer experience initiatives
  • Acting as a brand guardian – ensuring all materials shared across the EMEA comply with the brand guidelines
  • Collaboration with the regional Graphic Designer and manage strategic and ad-hoc design requests
  • Communicate the value of the new products to the sales and other internal teams through product education and training
  • Support and provide feedback into the product roadmap process
  • Implementing new product and feature launches in the EMEA region and developing regional campaigns to support this, closely working with the global product marketing team

Salary benchmarks

Our take

For a long time, efforts to decarbonize the global power grid have been hampered by a lack of effective large-scale battery-based energy storage. Fluence's dove-tailed approach - which pairs cutting-edge hardware with its own top-of-the-line operating system and AI - seeks to address this problem by allowing customers to deploy energy storage faster and more cost effectively.

The result of a union between independent American power producer AES and Siemens, Europe's biggest industrial manufacturer, Fluence entered the market in 2017 with a bang, and it now boasts the world's largest deployed fleet of energy storage projects. Having established its presence in battery storage, the company has increasingly been moving into digital energy asset optimisation, including of renewable energy sources.
