Role
Who you are
- We are looking for engineers who are passionate about creating seamless, user-friendly interfaces and front end capabilities that empower restaurants to manage their payment operations efficiently
- Knowledge of these languages: C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS,
- Knowledge/experience with: React, NPM, Node, Vite, GIT, CI/CD principals, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL
- Experience working with front-end state management, and solid understanding of front end development and design patterns
- Experience building and maintaining client facing APIs & SDKs
- Experience writing testing suites for your code - unit/component/integration/e2e
- Experience building and/or working with component libraries/design systems is a plus
- Experience being a lead developer on key projects/features and working with UX teams is a plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for a talented and collaborative Full Stack Engineer to join our Payments Web team and help drive innovation in our payment solutions
- Reporting to the Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our payment product, Olo Pay
- You'll be responsible for building new features, improving existing functionalities, and ensuring our front-end and back-end codebases are scalable, maintainable, and performant
- This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge payment technologies and make a significant impact on the restaurant industry
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software aligned with client needs and Olo's standards
- Contribute to both front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript, React) and back-end (C#, TypeScript, Node.js, .NET 6.0+, Go) development
- Collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring timely project delivery and adherence to scope
- Participate in code reviews for quality assurance and performance
- Demonstrate a proactive approach by asking questions to thoroughly understand client requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues reported by clients or internal teams
- Engage with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions

Olo provides all-in-one digital ordering and delivery platforms for restaurants, providing software interfaces for digital payments, menus and ordering, in addition to on-demand delivery. The platforms are provided in both mobile and web formats and facilitate both traditional and alternative ordering systems such as at kiosks, drive-thrus, and voice automated ordering. Whilst the company certainly faces competition from the variety of alternative digital ordering platforms for the catering industry, it stands out by providing an all-in-one solution, instead of focussing on just one area.
The company has partnered with catering giants such as Denny's and The Cheesecake Factory, whilst also providing affordable systems for small independent businesses. The latest addition to its offerings is the commercially available "Borderless" functionality, which has the potential to speed up and streamline payment at venues across Olo's network.
